It is great to have another chance to lead our club as President.  I really am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to the year ahead.   Our theme for this Rotary Year is one that we as Rotarians in a lot of ways signed up for when we joined and that is, “Serve to Change Lives”.  As we now can meet in person and get things back to a more normal lifestyle, I’m hopeful we will be able to get busy with service projects, fundraisers, social activities and more.  It was great to see so many Rotarians along with friends of Rotary at our change over dinner.  I would encourage all of you to continue showing your faces at regular meetings.  While Zoom is an option for those unable to come to meetings it is still preferable to have folks in the seats. 

Our change over dinner was fantastic as we honored so many people.  Starting with our new Paul Harris Fellows, Katie, Rhonda, Tom, and Jim, thank you all for the work you do in our club and outside our club to make our community a better place. Very well deserved for all of you.

Congratulations to Rhonda as our Rookie of the year.  Your fresh ideas, energy and enthusiasm have certainly not gone un-noticed.  Thank you for jumping in as a new member and finding your many niches.

And to Mike Ford as our Rotarian of the Year.  Such a well-deserved honor for a person who has done so much for our club and community. Avon Rotary is very proud of you.

As we begin this new Rotary year, I will ask that all Rotarians become engaged again in both a service and social way.  As we move forward through this year, please consider all you can do help change peoples lives.  We are a very vibrant club with so much to offer.  I will be looking for help from each and every Rotarian in one way or another to make this year successful.
